This Indian recipe is one of the easiest recipe to make at home. especially during this lockdwon when you're getting bored at home, try and taste this and also ket your family see the hidden chef inside you.

Whilst wandering in a market on a fine evening, ever felt knocked down by a spicy aroma? Those are so dominating that resisting our own self to reach one of those vendors is a big deal! Why not try a stunning blend of hot, spicy and sour at home? Here I am with an appetising rexipe of tikki chat.
Ingredients :
Boiled potatoes -  6 medium sized
Boiled grams/white pea - 2 cup
Tamarind-8-10 pcs
Onion(finely chopped) - 1 large
Cucumber (shredded) - 1 pc  (optional)
Carrot(shredded) - 1pc (optional)
Curd-4 tbsp
Namkeen - ½ cup
Jeera powder
Coriander powder
Coriander/Pudina leaves - half cup(finely chopped)
Chilli powder
Haldi powder
Mix masala
Green chillies-2(finely chopped)
Oil - 4 tbsp
Water

Procedure:

Soak the tamarind in half a bowl of water with ½ tbsp salt.
For tikki:
Mash all the boiled potatoes and add salt (as per taste) and two pinch of haldi. Knead well. Make balls out of mashed potatoes. You can easily make 7-8 balls out it. Heat the pan and grease it with oil. Give the balls a shape of tikki by simply flattening it with slight pressure. Place all the tikki on the pan and watch out till both the side turns charred golden.

For grams:
Heat a frying pan, add 2 tablespoon of oil. Adjust the flame to medium. Add haldi powder, jeera powder, mix masala and salt as per taste. When all the spices are cooked add 1½ glass of water. Once it comes to a boil add pre-boiled grams and cook for 3-4 minute post which turn the flame to lowest.

Plating:
Mash the tamarind and caste aside all the seeds if any.
Take 4 medium sized serving plates. Put tikkis first, two in each. Put sizzling hot gram stock over them. Add equal quantity of tamarind water to them. Garnish with chopped onions, carrots, cucumber and coriander(or pudina). Sprinkle jeera powder, coriander powder and chilli powder to all the plates.
Now put 1 tbsp curd to each one. Finish with namkeen over them. This piping hot chat is ready to dig in!!
