IDLI CHOCOLATE CAKE- simple receipe at home

Passing by a bakery shop and gazing at those cupcakes.... Cmon we all have done that! Most of us do wish to prepare
it ourselves.
Baking has been something which is always portrayed pretentiously...... Like something for which you need heavy equipments, molds, oven, strict proportions of ingredients.

Well that take a dig at our will  but here I am to your rescue. I urge you not to suppress that spark within you.
Here I am with a quick and easy recipe of IDLI CHOCOLATE CAKE. Yes you read that right! We
will be using Idli molds and gas stove to bake.

Ingredients :

________________

For cake:-All purpose flour (maida)-2 cup
Cocoa powder- 2 tblspn
Baking powder - 1 tblspn
Powdered sugar- ¾ tblspn
Baking soda - 2 pinch
Curd - half cup
Refine oil/olive oil- ¼ cup
Coffee - 1 tblspn (optional)
Milk/water - as required to prepare the batter
For ganache-Milk- 1 cup
Sugar- 2 tblspn
Cocoa powder - 1 tblspn

Procedure:

_____________

For cake:
First of all we will prepare the idli container in which we'll bake. Put half an inch of salt in the container and preheat on the medium flamewith the lid closed.Take a bowl add oil and curd in it.

Use a whisk or spoon to mix the ingredients properly. Take a seive and add all the dry ingredients viz. maida, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda(except baking powder).

This step has to be done as it infuses air into the dry ingredients which helps the cake to puff.( If u want to add coffee:mix the coffee in
half cup of lukewarm water and add to the bowl). Give a good mix whilst adding water or milk slowly.

The consistency of the batter should neither be too thick nor too thin. When all the ingredients are mixed completely
without any lumps, add baking powder and mix slowly.
Now grease the idli molds with some oil. Put batter in the mold with the help of spoon. Place the molds in
preheated vessel (be extremely careful as it is too hot). Close the lid and adjust the flame to mid-low. After 10-12
minutes check the cakes by inserting a knife.

If it emerges clean then put off the flame and allow to cool otherwise
cook it for few more minutes.
When molds are cooled use a knife to unmold. And here you go

For ganche:
_____________

Take a saucepan and pour 1 cup of milk to it. Add sugar and cocoa powder to it. Reduce this quantity to ¾th by
continuously mixing on mid flame. Allow it to cool

Plating:
_________

Place the cake on the any plate. Apply a good layer of ganache. Sprinkle some shredded chocolate or gems. Allow it to rest in refrigerator fkor about half an hour. Bravo! You're done.

P.S :
# No. of pieces prepared 12-15 pcs
# double the proportion of ingredients if you want      more number of cakes.
# It's Yummmmmmmyyyyyyyyy!!!
